Dreaming of a well toned and properly shaped body is not an uncommon desire. Those who seriously and wisely approach this issue certainly benefit. Some of us wrongly consider that the required body shape, or shedding the fat, can be achieved merely through exercises. While exercise plays an important role in toning the body, toning diet has its own importance and perhaps equally influences the results. Sadly, the role of a toning diet is usually overlooked. In fact, almost all the body shaping and muscle building exercises are incomplete without a proper diet.
The importance of the right toning diet program is undeniable. No matter how hard of an exercise program you’re on and how many hours you spend, your efforts will definitely go to vain without a proper diet plan. You should understand clearly that a healthy diet program is an absolute necessity if you wish to shape and tone your body.
To achieve your goal of a toned body through exercise and diet, you need not to address this issue in a technical way, nor do you require the hired professional advice. As long as you have a basic concept of what foods help tone and what foods don’t. You simply have to identify the fat producing food and eliminate or at least minimize its intake. At the same time, you should be fully aware of the non-fatty food items, their nutritional values, how to balance the daily recommended intake of vitamins, minerals, protein, etc.
Remember, it is not just cutting the fatty foods; your diet must be properly balanced to remain healthy and active. Your toning diet should consist of leafy type vegetables, green and orange ones. It should have low fat proteins like tofu, beans, fish, eggs, skinless poultry, lean meats, canned tuna, no fat yogurt or cottage cheese.
Using fruits rich in natural sugar content should be controlled. Having 1 – 2 servings of fruit before noon, whole fruit, is a better idea. Try to avoid, or at least minimize, the use of wheat products or processed foods. While increasing the intake of brown rice and similar grains, you should decrease bread and potato intake. Try to replace potatoes with tomatoes or something less starchy. Beware of the ‘tasty culprits’ like salt and sugar. Though pleasing in taste, excessive intake of salt and sugar not only go against a toning diet program, their negative effects can lead to serious health problems.
Alcohol products, fats and sauces have no place in a good toning diet program. Avoid, or at least minimize, the intake of fast-food. If it is unavoidable, try to reduce its danger to your body by strictly avoiding deep fried items including French fries, hash browns, chicken nuggets, breaded fish sandwiches or chicken patties. As such items are usually fried in hazardous fats of hydrogenated vegetable oils or highly refined processed oils; they must strictly be avoided or at least taken in very little quantity.
Throughout the day, you may have three main meals and a few snacks. Desert and beverages, like soda, should be controlled so that its frequency is limited to once a week, preferably. If you still feel hungry, don’t suffer, you have raw vegetables or proteins to fulfill this need. To minimize the loss of vitamins and protein, minimize the use of caffeine.
If you strictly, and honesty, follow the toning diet program, of course in combination with physical exercises, you will soon start feeling the positive results both physically and mentally. You will look younger, have a toned body, feel energized, gain self-confidence, your performance level grows, body responses and mental alertness grow, and a feeling of lightness and energy will prevail over your body and mind.
Not only this, since toning diet controls your weight, shape and helps the vital parts of the body to remain healthy, the risk of several diseases related to heart, lungs and other organs could effectively be minimized. A toning diet not only tones your body and mind, but also minimizes the threats of hypertension, diabetes, arthritis and osteoporosis. Moreover, toning diets are also helpful to those who are already suffering from such serious diseases. Those who are suffering from a chronic or serious disease should consult a doctor before changing their diet pattern.
In short, the benefits of the right toning diet program, in combination with proper exercises, will get you to the toned and cut body that you seek.
